planting trees

Last year we planted two little trees (more like twigs) in our yard that I got free from work for Earth Day. Although one was defeated by the lawn mower, the other one still survives. This year, we got two more trees at Conner Prairie for Earth Day. Chris dug holes for our little sticks and the kids helped water them. Last year, Camden did a good job frequently watering the trees to keep them alive during the hot summer.

They filled up their watering can and bowl in the water table. Poor Savannah had barely a drop left by the time she made it all the way to the tree.
