1st Birthday - details

Here are some of the details from Camden's Goldfish Party:

I created a little goldfish in Publisher to be the running fish theme.

The invitation was an free printable of an ocean I found online and modified for my fishbowl invite.  Then I added my little goldfish to the invite.  I had a Visaprint Groupon for $70 worth of material, so I bought invitations, stickers (see favors), thank you cards, and some other random things.

The party favors are containers from Oriental Trading with candy.  I used the stickers I made to label them.  We got some blue Jelly Bellies and orange candies from a candy store at the mall (we've been waiting for an excuse to shop there) to fill the containers.

I made a little sign by printing letters and glueing them to some scrapbook paper I already had

I got a fishbowl and all the accesories free from FreeCycle.  Then we took a fun trip to the pet shop to get Uno, the goldfish.  I stuck a "1" candle in the bowl also.

as you can see, Uno is really excited for the party

We decided to have a goldfish trivia game for guests to do while they were hanging around.  There were 10 goldfish related questions placed around the main level of the house for people to find and answer

the tie breaker question:

answer: 306

I collected the plastic plates, bowls, and glass fish bowls from Old Time Pottery on the Southside (that place is a gold mine!) for tableware.

We set up the food and drink in our dinning room.  I couldn't take the wine rack down, so I just wrapped the bottles.

Check out my next post regarding food!
