Las Vegas hotels

To celebrate Ryan's 21st birthday, we headed to Vegas. We gave Ryan a scavenger hunt and for each item he completed he received some birthday money to gamble with.

I took photos of some of the hotels that I liked:

Mirage - This was my first time visiting this place and it's really neat! I like the tropical theme and the erupting volcano is pretty impressive, too!

Venetian - there is a canal (complete with gondala rides) through the shopping area inside! I guess I forgot to take pictures inside, but this place is really pretty both inside and out. Ooo, I also heard their guest rooms are huge!

Aria - brand new hotel in the new City Center that is still under construction. This whole complex is going to be massive. I like the various textures and materials they use for the decor inside.

Encore and the Wynn - gorgeous! Encore is newer, but both are beautiful inside. The are connected by a walkway. 5 stars all the way!

Bellagio - perfect central location, famous water fountain show, and plenty to do! I'd love to stay here sometime.

Paris - the Eiffel Tower actually looks just like the real one! I like the casino here. It also has a great location and a real romantic atmosphere...just like Paris, France.

MGM Grand - they have real lions inside! It is on the south end of the strip, but walking in Vegas is part of the fun. Their buffet is not bad, either!

New York New York - just looks so cool on the outside. The casino area looks like the streets of New York!

Excalibur - not my favorite hotel but I did enjoy the nicely-priced buffet for lunch! The free tram goes between this hotel, the Luxor, and Mandalay Bay and was very handy after a long day of walking.

Mandalay Bay - we stayed here this time. Although it's all the way on the south end of the strip, it has an awesome pool, nice rooms, and great amenities

I also enjoyed the Luxor (has inclinators instead of elevators due to the pyramid shape of the building), Treasure Island (pirate show!), Planet Hollywood (really big and great location), and especially Caesars Palace (classy enough for Roman gods)! In fact, my brothers liked Caesars the best and we didn't even get to explore the forum shops. Go to Vegas and pick your favorite hotel!
