I gathered some Halloween themed recipes for our Halloween party this year. Although I saved all the recipes, I don't remember the web addresses of some of them. Those that I remember, I included!
Witch's Brew Punch
Basically apple juice, pineapple juice, a little bit of lemon juice. There are little apple balls with cloves poked in them floating in the punch and cinnamon sticks. I made it non-alcoholic with alcohol on the side if someone chooses to make theirs more "deadly".
Ours didn't look quite as good as the photos....oh well!
I served this in a hollowed out pie pumpkin cut in half. It is a sweet dip for mini-bagels, crackers, or fruit.
Carmel Apple Bites
Carmel apples cut into individual slices and decorated.
When we carved pumpkins, I saved the seeds for this recipe. It was a pain to collect, wash, re-wash, and dry all the seeds. I got about 1 cup of seeds per pumpkin.
My Mom always makes this recipe. It is almost like a pumpkin bread with a cream cheese icing.
The only thing "Halloween" about this is that it is green. The recipe includes directions for making a cute cauldron bread bowl, but I just used another hallowed out pie pumpkin. It tasted very spinachy...probably because I forgot to drain/dry the spinach.
These are cute! I just used store bought frosting to save time. This blog, "Our Best Bites", has really neat ideas!
Monster Snack Mix
Popcorn, pretzels, nuts, candy corn, and chocolate bridge mix with a cinnamon, butter, and cloves coating!
