Skiing in Boyne, Michigan

Eight of us drove up to Boyne, Michigan for a weekend of skiing. Some of us had not skiied in awhile (including myself), some skiied quite a bit (most of the boys), and some had never gone before (Chris). Both Friday and Saturday were spent on the slopes. Chris' friend, Matt, showed Chris, Ashley (Matt's girlfriend), and I some tricks to help us ski (and to help Chris stay standing up). We spent Friday on the "green circle" trails that were easier. On Saturday we perfected the "green circles". It began to snow really hard and the slopes were getting icey (and dark) by the time the day was over. We decided to end on a difficult "blue square" which was a challenge for all of us. Ashley was carted away on a snowmobile due to a fall that injured her knee. After picking Ashley up from the medical hut, we headed back to our cabin. We stayed in a 3 bedroom, 4 bathroom cabin in the woods on at the resort. We enjoyed playing cards, making a blazing fire, and drinking box wine in the hot tub. It was a very enjoyable weekend. I believe we will want to try skiing again soon.
