Today was Sunday so we walked to St. James Church to go to mass. The Mass was sung entirely in Latin and was very beautiful. It really didn't matter that the priest could be making it all up as he went for all I knew, it was still very nice.
The other 4 girls from Marian arrived today but we hardly visited with them because we were off to explore again. We wanted to walk to Buckingham Palace, but our location is not on the map we have...so we did the best we could. We managed to go a bit out of the way but we made a detour through Hide Park and discovered a beach we want to go to. A few wrong turns later we made it to the palace and fountain. We also saw St. Jamess Park which had a huge pond with lots of birds. Making it to Buckingham Palace made it feel like we were actually in London (it is really hard to tell what country you are in around our dorm!)
A couple groups of people stopped us to ask for directions today as we were walking, but they soon learned we would be of no assistance when they heard our accents! Americans, what use are they? Tomorrow is day one of class, wish me luck!
