Savannah has been in girl scouts since she was a Daisy in 1st grade. Three years ago, I started a troop at her school so she could be with girls she new from class. Now, all the girls in our troop are moving on to middle school next year and our troop is officially disbanding. Just like most endings, it is sad see our troop go but I know they will be busy with new activities in middle school. We aren't ending our girl scout journey, though. Five of the girls are continuing on as Caddettes (the next level after Juniors). I will oversee planning of community activities and events for us to do as independent scouts called "Juliettes". I'm hoping we still get to do some fun and exciting activities ongoing (minus the extra work of managing a troop account and hosting meetings).
