Savannah's 6th Birthday

For Savannah's 6th birthday I suggested she combine a couple of her favorite things - sleepovers and swimming. We reserved a hotel room at the Drury Plaza pretty near our house since it offered many perks: indoor/outdoor pool, big hot tub, free dinner, free breakfast, snacks/drinks, and is pretty new and clean.

My family attended the swimming portion and had cupcakes with us, also. Luckily it was a warmish day so the kids swam both inside and outside (you swim under a part of the wall). They also used the hot tub. Then we ate rainbow cupcakes (Savannah wanted a "rainbow" theme) and opened her presents.

The rest of my family left and the kids (including Cece), Chris, and I ate the free dinner. I had created a scavenger hunt throughout the hotel that eventually led back to the room where the kids found some pillowcases I had personalized with my Sillouette to color. Ideally, the marker will washout in the laundry and can be recolored again.

After a popcorn snack and a cable TV show, I took Jonas home for bed since there wasn't really room for he and I. The three kids and Chris stayed the night.

The next morning, Jonas and I came back and we all had breakfast and the kids swam again before checking out.

 Jonas enjoyed just floating around

We all had a good time celebrating our six year old girl!
