Great Wolf Lodge - waterpark

When we realized our kids mention Great Wolf Lodge almost as much as they do Disney World, we decided we needed to make a point to go back (its 14 hours closer and 1/15th the cost!). To save money, we went Sunday-Tuesday and pulled the kids out of school. Sunday was really crowded but it was very quiet by Monday afternoon. We mostly swam, and here are those photos (from my phone).

waiting for the park to open

the group favorite was probably the wave pool

all the kids tried jumping across the lily pads. Jonas watched and then decided he had to try too

The other favorite was the "hot pool" (essentially a big bath tub). The family hot pool was crowded! Chris and I took turns in the 21 and over hot pool which was hotter and, while it was the same size, only had about 5 people in it! It was hard to leave!

It was too hard to get a photo of the kids in the toddler slide area. Camden and Savannah enjoyed the green/blue slide (like they did when we were here a few years ago). Jonas tried it once and said it was "too big"

he preferred this little orange slide

Chris made them wait under the big bucket

cold!

Jonas and I just played in the little fountains

Poor guy would be shivering cold after about 15 minutes so we took frequent towel breaks. He would ask to go to the "hot pool"

Tuesday morning - all to ourselves!

they also enjoyed the big climbing structure with lots of wheels and levers to pull

there were two bigger (I'd say early elementary age) slides

Lazy river

There are 6 big slides that adults and kids can do together. Camden did two and Savannah did one, but neither of them wanted to do anymore. Chris and I each rode some individually so we could at least try them (especially since there wasn't a line for any of them by Monday night). I was impressed that the kids all enjoyed the lazy river this year, which was a first.
