Christmas downtown

Our tradition of going downtown Indianapolis for Christmas continued this year.

We started our day by going to the Indiana State Museum to ride the train, play in the Christmas area, and check out an exhibit or two. My brother's family joined us along with my mom.

We went to check into the Westin and let the kids jump on the beds a little. We then spent awhile (as we always have) playing tag/duck, duck, goose in the empty halls of the convention center (nothing beats a huge hallway with room to run for a little kid). Then we went to Christkindlmarkt on Georgia Street. The kids enjoyed the craft station and the foam blocks set up inside.

We then had dinner at the mall and walked to the circle to see the "tree". The weather was very fair which was great.

The night before, Chris and I decided Jonas' sleep (or lack thereof) at night the past week was not at all suitable for sharing a hotel room so Chris and Jonas went home and I walked with Camden and Savannah back to the hotel room. Jonas has basically been my sidekick in most things since he was born, so it was nice to split up a little differently this time.

Camden said he would really miss Daddy and Jonas. I was changing in the bathroom and came back out to see this framed photo of Jonas when he was first born sitting on our nightstand. Camden had packed it with his pillow and blanket so he could "remember Jonas".

The next morning, the kids and I walked to St. John's for Mass and then got a little breakfast at Steak n' Shake. We walked back to the hotel through the corridors that connect much of downtown. It was really nice to spend time with the two of them.
