Riley(s)

When Camden was around 14 months old he started to grow an attachment to Riley, the gorilla. Riley was my stuffed animal when I was younger (I got him when I was at Riley hospital, hence the name).  Now, he is much more attached to Riley.  He'll carry Riley around the house, in the car, and definitely with him to naps/bed.  He's never really been difficult to put to bed or down for naps, but having Riley join him has made it even easier!

Riley was getting pretty dirty and I was too nervous to wash him in fears that I might ruin him.  I searched around the internet for a "Riley double" but had no luck since Riley isn't a very popular or common toy. Eventually found this on Ebay....finally!:

Before we purchased Riley II, we tried out some Riley substitutes (various bears we already had) which he'd like but always end up asking for "Ri". So we bought Riley II to keep as an emergency back up.  Once Riley II was safely in our home, I washed Riley I, and he came out clean and intact.  Now we hide one of the Rileys in the closet to switch as needed (they obviously can't come in contact with each other, or the world would implode or something).  I did take one photo of them together...

Note: Before I stowed Riley II away, Camden happened to see both Riley's at the same time.  He gasped and said "unudder!" (another).  I quickly played it off and, since he is one year old, he continued on without thinking anything of it : )
