Although we never really did a office "makeover" exactly, it has slowly evolved as our needs have changed. It was originally going to be the last room we would worry about decorating (although it is one of the first rooms you see when you enter the house), but somehow it is pretty much finished! After I started my new job last year, I needed to work on my charting at home sometimes. I used to take over the dining room for this purpose, but Camden enjoyed getting into my stuff and also the whole set up just wasn't working.
As usual, I forgot to take "before" photos. I did find these two photos I took of how the former owners had it set up. (And, yes, that is a bed in there...)

We needed an L shaped desk to hold both Chris' computer (and his stuff) and my work laptop (when needed). I had no luck on Craigslist. After we sold Chris' college text books on Amazon (which was AWESOME), we used the money + $100 to buy this piece. Not to shabby!
This section came from our old house. I got the map from United Arts and Education and just stuck a frame around it. We have pinned the places we have been...no new pins lately but we've been having fun here at home : ) The boards that flank it are just framed with standard photo frames. Our dog crate goes here too, but we are currently dogless.
The photos hung up on the walls I took during our various travels. They were used previously as a photo display in our old house. Same with the random knickknacks picked up while traveling.
It is still a bit cluttered, but very functional...and we can always shut the doors!
