Once in the Vegas airport, we happened to find Dave, who also had just flown in. We then split a taxi to Circus Circus hotel where we were greeted by large crowds and scary clowns. The price was unbeatable, though.

Lance and Rebecca drove in from Davis, California and arrived sometime in the middle of the night with sleeping gear and food. They were so prepared for saving money by sleeping on the floor and eating muffins and yogurt for breakfast.
Today we woke up after a few hours of sleep and took "The Duce" (the bus) to the start of the strip. Dave's friend, Andrea, drove in from Phoenix and met up with us. After waiting forever in lines to get on the bus and beating up little old ladies to get in, we were on our way to our first big hotel!
We started at the Mandalay Bay hotel. Step one, eat at the buffet. For $20 we were able to stuff our faces with the finest buffet foods. No one except me thought it was a good idea to put a couple cookies in our purse, so I just ate them all instead. Feeling rather bloated, we meandered our way through the hotel. It is very easy to get turned around in these places. Especially in the expansive casinos where everything looks the same.

Next was the Luxor, shaped a like an Egyptian pyramid with a large light beam on the top. We figured out how to hop on the inclinator that takes you to the top by going side ways and not up and down. It is just like something from Willy Wonka!

Excalibur, shaped like a castle, was next. We couldn't find Chris the Roman suit of armor he wanted, so we moved on.

We took a walkway bridge to New York, New York. The building itself looks like a whole skyline. Inside we found Central Park complete with slot machines and card tables. Most of us situated ourselves along the penny slots as usual to obtain as many drinks as possible for as little money as possible. Here is a video of Kristen and Chris explaining how to gamble our way.

The Monte Carlo was one of the nicer hotels we visited thus far. It had a very grand exterior. I think we only played the slot machines there for a little while because the Bellagio was next!
We gathered a long the sidewalk outside of the Bellagio to watch the fountains...but they didn't come on so we headed inside. Kristen instantly fell in love with the mall. Dior, Gucci, Prada, etc. The boys just hung out in the hall ways. Dave felt that he had to apologize to some one for just entering the stores dressed as we were. We had to spend time in the casino here. We were in awe of the "high roller" room where there were $1,000+ slot machines, and people were using them! The whole place was definitely high class. We still only played the penny slots of course. We saw the wolds longest chocolate fountain and we made it out to see the famous fountains out front.

Just down the road was the massive Cesar's Palace. It went on forever! We finally found the casino and mall. This was by far the nicest mall I have ever been to. Most malls don't have giant Roman statues and fountains down every hallway. We played the giant floor piano at FAO Schwartz and Kristen got kicked out of Dolce and Gabbana for using her middle finger in ways they did not approve of. By the end of our completion of this place, we were exhausted.

We couldn't head back without stopping at the Mirage. There were gardens and unique restaurants. I didn't see anyone in the adult pool called "Bare". It also has an erupting volcano outside. We ended up stopping at McDonalds to get a bite to eat before we caught the Duce back to Circus Circus. We ended up leaving Lance behind, but he caught up eventually.
Back in the room, Andrea, Lance, and Becca slept on the floor since this room was only suppose to be for two people. We had to save some energy to hit the other side of the strip tomorrow!
