Since we added our little man to our family, date nights have become scarce. In part, this is because we enjoy spending time with Camden on weekends but it is also because, when we do want to go out, good babysitters are hard to find and expensive! We utilize our family members, but they have lives, too. So, in order to not completely lose track of date nights, we try our hardest to have one once a month. To keep things interesting, I came up with an idea...ABC dates! We'll start with the letter "A" and do things that start with the letter "A" on our date. The next date will "B" activities and so forth. It turns out I didn't actually invent it (says
my Google search), but whatever. The general guidelines I've come up with are:
1. Take turns with your spouse planning the date based on the corresponding letter of the alphabet
2. The person planning the date arranges the babysitter
3. Activities on the date should start with or be related somehow the corresponding letter of the alphabet
4. Take photos, if possible
5. Be creative!
Our activities will usually be limited to what we can do in a 4-6 hour(ish) time frame and oftentimes we'll have an errand or two to run in addition. I'm excited to give it a try!
