We experienced our first snow day as parents of a school-aged kid. The week was already short (Camden didn't come back from winter break until Tuesday) and he had Monday the next week off (MLK day) but an extra Friday off is always nice. Between the 4 phone calls, 2 texts, and email...we were well notified (it was originally a 2 hour delay that they changed shortly after calling).
Luckily it was Friday, so I was off work (nurses don't get snow days) and Chris worked from home. We did some experiments from the kit the kids got for Christmas and they eventually played in the snow. Low key day, but we enjoyed staying in and warm.
